Description
X-CCR Rebreather
The X-CCR Rebreather , designed and built by iQsub, is the latest in cutting edge rebreather technology. Firstly the unit is developed using years of our experience in CCR development with respect to the needs of divers and explorers.
Moreover with CO2 monitoring and high-pressure sensors displaying diluent and O2 pressure on the primary handset, the X-CCR sets a new standard for the industry.
The standard unit includes
a radial scrubber
Shrimp bailout valve (BOV)
removable O2 cell cartridge
QuickLoc attachments on all breathing hoses and on the BOV
Manual Addition Valves (MAVs) for both O2 and diluent
Automatic Diluent Valve (ADV)
bayonet head fitting
3 liter steel O2 and dil tanks
Back Mounted Counter Lungs (BMCLs)
back plate
harness and wing
primary and secondary handsets
HUD
Metal Sub tank brackets
first stage regulators
and 3 O2 cells are all included as standard equipment.
Head
The most important, electronics package of X-CCR Rebreather consists of the world renowned Shearwater handset, which interacts with the controller and main electronics package residing in the head of the unit (outside the loop). The primary handset includes a digital compass. In addition X-CCR has flexible options for the secondary PO2 monitor. For instance a Shearwater Petrel 2, Shearwater NERD or Divesoft Freedom.
Compact and ergonomic design facilitates easy tool-less assembly and maintenance. Further ergonomically designed hardware and software designed to reduce human error and increase usability.
Two canister models – made of Delrin or marine grade hard anodized Aluminum with teflon coating. Gas tanks optionally from 2L to 7L, quick release fasteners for easy and quick tank replacement.
Above all Radial Scrubber as standard, quaranted 6 hour duration. Further two optional sizes
Diluent manifold with up to 8 outlets, Oxygen manifold with up-to 5 outlets. Off-board gases can be connected/disconnected directly via Swagelok QC6 quick connect 9/16”.
Quick Bayonet Lock on the head, with easy access to the O-ring.
The head is designed to have advanced air flow paths to eliminate condensation able to form on the O2 cells.
Electronics
The Shearwater SOLO board in the head serves reading from three O2-sensors, solenoid firing, CO2-reading, HP reading on Oxygen and Diluent tanks, Head-Up Display control. In other words if the user cuts any cable, the unit will still carry on working and maintain the PPO2 up to surfacing.
The X-CCR unit is standardly equipped with Shearwater DiveCAN Petrel2 Controller on the left hand and with DiveCAN Head-Up Display placed on the BOV.
However you can put a DiveCAN or analog Petrel2 Monitor (as a secondary computer) and/or DiveCAN or analog NERD.
Meanwhile the head has 3 specially developed watertight connector, rated up to 300m (made of AISI 316) allowing very flexible connection of the devices. For example Shearwater Petrel 2 or Divesoft FREEDOM. In addition all three connectors provide DiveCAN bus, while one of them provides DiveCAN as well as auxiliar analog bus.
X-CCR combines a well proven rebreather chassis with the most innovative electronics package to form the most fault tolerant rebreather, provides outstanding reliability, ruggedness and yet the easiest maintenance
